A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a collision with a sports car in East Lothian.

Witnesses said the biker was driving between Aberlady and Longniddry at around 4.30pm when the motorbike collided with a high-powered red car, which burst into flames.

Bike parts were scattered round the sports car. The male driver was seen walking on the roadside following the incident. He is understood to have received minor injuries.

The motorcyclist’s gender has yet to be confirmed.

A witness said the bike had collided with the car as it left Craigielaw Golf Club.

She said: “I saw a motorcycle overtake. The motorbike went under the car. The driver of the car was wandering around.”
