Biker, 26, dies after accident

A MOTORCYCLIST died in hospital yesterday following an accident in Aberdeen.

The 26-year-old man, who has still to be named, was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after his Kawasaki bike hit a lamppost on Auchmill Road shortly before midnight on Thursday.

The westbound carriage way of the busy commuter route was closed for several hours while collision investigators carried out a detailed examination of the crash scene.
