Big day looms for gala court

THE COURT of the Newhaven Gala have been getting into character ahead of their big day later this month.

Leith Victoria Primary School pupils Tammy Kendall, 11, and Rebecca Miles, 11, were joined Gala Queen Courtney Hill, 11, Gala King Lewis McInnes, 11, and 'traditional fishermen' Lewis Shortel, 12, and Jarek Witosziki, 12 for an early rehearsal.

The group will be taking part in the first gala held in the former fishing village for around 15 years.

The event is due to take place on 29 May.
