Bid to mark a hot season

THE Lord Provost should hold an event to mark the success of a local rugby club, according to a city councillor.

Labour councillor Ricky Henderson has lodged a motion for next week's full council meeting congratulating Currie Rugby Club for its best ever season.

The club's senior side won the National League Championship, while the under-15s and Colts sides won their national cup competitions.

It will be discussed next Friday in the City Chambers.
