Bicycle Band saddle up for Tattoo

FORTY of the Netherlands' finest military musicians with their celebrated Bicycle Band have been added to the bill for next year's Edinburgh Tattoo.

The Fanfare Band of The Royal Netherlands Army Mounted Regiments will take to their bikes to wow spectators at the showpiece military event.

Among other acts already on board for next August's show is German composer and co-writer of the popular bagpipe melody Highland Cathedral Michael Korb, who will perform at the event alongside a 45-strong group of pipers from Berlin, as the first German pipe band - The Crossed Swords - takes to the Esplanade.
