Beware German skiers on slopes

BRITONS more used to fighting Germans for spaces by the pool are in for a struggle on the ski slopes as well.

German skiers have a lack of awareness of those around them on the slopes, a survey by travel insurance company InsureandGo found.

UK winter sports enthusiasts should also watch out for the Italians, who have "a tendency to ski and (snow(board too fast", the poll found.

However, the survey showed that British skiers, especially men, have a habit of showing off on-piste, while the French overestimate their own abilities.
