Best of Balerno Music Festival

The inaugural, community-run Balerno Music Festival runs from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 October.

Consortium5 will display the wealth, colour and diversity of music that the recorder either “owns” or has claimed and appropriated for this performance on an impressive range of baroque, modern and renaissance instruments. CONCERT OF ICONIC AMERICAN WORKS

Auricle Ensemble under Chris Swaffer (Musical Director) with The Pentland Singers Fast becoming one of the UK’s most versatile young groups, the Auricle Ensemble presents a concert of iconic American works, with Copland’s jazz infused Clarinet Concerto alongside the original version of Appalachian Spring. The concert will include a performance by the Pentland Singers in what is sure to be an exhilarating evening. Music: Copland – Music for Theatre; Ives – Unanswered Question; Copland – Appalachian Spring.
