Beer boss raises glass to success

Dougal Sharpe, the managing director of Innes and Gunn, has been presented with the Queen's Award for Enterprise.

The head of the speciality brewer accepted the award from Edinburgh's Lord Provost George Grubb at the company's new Edinburgh offices.

Established in 2003, the company has recorded an average annual growth of 56 per cent, and recently reported a turnover of 4.39 million.

The awards are regarded as the highest official accolade of business achievement, and are presented each year on the advice of the Prime Minister.
