Bebo inmate sparks probe

AN investigation has been launched at Addiewell Prison after a prisoner was apparently discovered using a smuggled mobile phone to browse his Bebo site.

Prisoner Graham Murray, 28, from Dedridge, was said to have posted regular updates on the social networking site from his cell at the West Lothian jail.

On his Bebo site he describes himself as a "lost soul" who "needs an instruction manual for life".

He also claims to have learned from the "bad times" so he can appreciate "da good times".

A spokesman for the Scottish Prison Service said: "Possession of a mobile is against prison rules and information of this kind will be followed up and an investigation started immediately."
