Beavers going back to nature

A BREEDING pair of beavers being cared for at Edinburgh Zoo have been released into the wild as part of a programme to send animals back into their natural habitat.

The Scottish Beaver Trial aims to determine how beavers will prosper in Scottish habitats and assess their impact in the Scottish environment by monitoring them over a five-year trial period.
