Be a friend of Maggie's

THE Scotsman is launching a campaign to find 5,000 new Friends of Maggie's. There are now five Maggie's Centres in Scotland, with a further seven planned around the UK. However, as the organisation grows, it needs to raise an increasing amount of money every year to support its unique service.

Each Friend of Maggie's will help the organisation help those with cancer, their families and friends. Subscription costs 24 a year, which is the average cost of one visit to a Maggie's Centre. Last year, there were 40,000 visits.

Everyone who signs up to help will be listed on a roll of honour, which will appear on our website scotsman.com - and we will also print names in the paper as we update readers on the progress of the campaign.
