BBC to film city doctor's Sahara run

A CITY doctor's world record bid to run from Scotland to the Sahara desert is to be filmed for a BBC documentary, it has been announced.

Dr Andrew Murray's 2685-mile expedition, which will begin at John O'Groats on 8 November and end in the Sahara Desert on 31 January 2011, is to be charted for a one-hour Adventure Show special.

Running 31 miles a day for nearly three months, the Capital physician hopes to raise 100,000 for charity.
