Barry Norman's novelist wife dies aged 77

The wife of film critic Barry Norman, who wrote a series of best-selling historical thrillers under the name Ariana Franklin, has died aged 77.

Diana Norman who worked as journalist before becoming an author, wed her husband in 1957. Mr Norman said she died at home on Thursday.
