Barge aboard on Santa trip

SANTA will be swappng his sleigh for a barge this year, with a sail along the Union Canal in December.

The Bridge 1940 Canal Society is planning to run Santa trips on the canal at Broxburn on December 11 and 20, giving local youngsters the chance to enjoy a special meeting with Santa ahead of Christmas Day.

The trips will take place at noon, 12.45pm, 1.30pm and 2.15pm. Every child will meet Santa and receive a present from him.

The cost of each trip is 6. Adults will be provided with tea and coffee.
