Bar branches out with facelift plans

The creation of the largest al fresco pavement dining area at a bar and restaurant on George Street, will kick off next month.

The Living Room has decided to celebrate its seventh birthday with a six- figure refurbishment. The aim of the refurbishment is to bring the building up to date through a brighter look and latest trends.

Adam Bowers, head of marketing said: "We are bringing the brand up to date without losing the essential elements of the Living Room's appeal."

The construction will begin on Monday, September 6, for two weeks while French doors are installed. The double doors will open on to George Street, which will result in the outside dining area being doubled in size.

Will Stephenson, general manager of the bar said: "The refurbishment will double our outside entertainment space, as well as giving real wow factor to the Living Room as a destination, whether for a quick business lunch, cocktails with friends, or a special occasion."

The refurbished venue is expected to open on September 20.
