Bank extends fund deadline

THE deadline for nominations for the new Royal Bank of Scotland Community Fund has been extended to August 27.

RBS announced details of the new fund to support local charities and projects last month.

The bank has made a commitment to support local communities and it is inviting local people to decide who should benefit. Twelve funds of 5,000 will be invested in communities in the Lothians.
