Bank digs in for homeless

BANKERS swapped spreadsheets for spades to spruce up the garden at the Salvation Army's Ashbrook homeless centre.

The Ferry Road centre's users were joined by a group of 12 from Bank of Scotland Commercial who spent the day weeding the centre's garden.

The team also replanted large expanses of flower beds using bedding plants provided by the bank last week.

Ashbrook provides direct access accommodation for 26 single homeless people.
