Bank card skimmers jailed

TWO bank card skimmers who targeted machines in Inverness were jailed for a total of five and a half years yesterday.

Romanians Florin Pop, 26, and Alexandru Anton, 22, attempted to steal cash from dispensers at Tesco supermarket in the city.

Sharon Ralph, prosecuting, said they attached devices and video cameras to the cash machines with the intention of obtaining information relating to the bank accounts of users.
