Band targets rich Harvest
AN Edinburgh band has edged closed to performing at the world-renowned Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Canada after winning the Scottish heat of a prestigious battle of the bands contest.
Capital four-piece River Devils emerged as the judges' favourite at a regional qualifier in Glasgow on Tuesday, seeing off competition from five other groups. The musicians will travel to the final in London on March 29, where they will play at the famous 100 Club in Oxford Street before the overall UK winner is announced.
British performers are being sought to play the music festival in New Brunswick to help celebrate its 20th anniversary.
