Band gig has Wright stuff

THE band Skerryvore are to play a benefit gig for the Mark Wright Project.

The band will perform at Dalkeith Miners Club on March 18 with Craig Swann. Tickets cost 12 from 07917 859305.

The proceeds will be added to more than 40,000 already raised for the veterans' centre in Dalkeith since the Evening News backed the Wrights' campaign to keep it open.

The project also received 500 from a quiz night held at Dreghorn Barracks.
