'Baird's TV book' sells for £1,440
A COPY of the earliest book on television, thought to have belonged to John Logie Baird, the man who invented the device, sold for £1,440 at auction yesterday.
Television, published in 1926 was spotted by a member of staff in a charity shop in Edinburgh.
