Bagging sun loungers annoys Brits most

THE habit of bagging poolside sun loungers is what annoys most British holidaymakers.

As many as two in three people reckoned the reserving of the best pool-side spot was the most frustrating thing on a trip, a travel agents survey has revealed.

The next most irritating habit was excessive noise, followed by drunkenness, bad karaoke and cultural insensitivity.

Travelling Britons also disliked unsociable tourists, those who argued and those who were stingy tippers.

The poll of 1,684 people by www.sunshine.co.uk also revealed that 12 per cent of women did not like seeing other women sunbathe topless, with more than half of these saying it was "distracting" for their partner.

The firm's co-founder Chris Brown said: "Not being able to get a sun lounger due to someone unrightfully reserving it is something all tourists have probably experienced abroad, so it wasn't a great shock to see it up there as the most annoying habit."
