Baby Jesus doll stolen from Christmas nativity scene found

A '˜life-sized' baby Jesus doll stolen from a church nativity scene in Perth has been found.

The doll, from a nativity scene outside St John’s Kirk in Perth, was reported stolen late on Monday night.

It is the second time in two years that the statue has been stolen.

Police Scotland said three males would be reported to the procurator fiscal in due course.

Police were looking to trace three young boys who were seen acting suspiciously in the area at the time.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Three young boys were seen acting suspiciously in the area at the time and were last seen near St John Street, Perth.

“They are described as wearing black clothing, with two of the boys carrying rucksacks.

“Anyone who was in the area at the time and can assist officers with their enquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
