Azerbaijan election 'free of fraud'

Azerbaijan's ruling party said it was certain it had won a parliamentary election yesterday in the oil-producing former Soviet republic, dismissing opposition allegations of fraud.

"I am certain of our victory. We are very satisifed with our result," New Azerbaijan Party secretary Ali Akhmedov said.
