Ayrshire car crash victim named

A 63-YEAR-OLD man who died in a car crash on the A77 near Girvan was named yesterday as Robert Thomas Carmichael, from Girvan. He had been the driver of one of the vehicles.

Two passengers, a 40-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman, were taken by ambulance to Ayr where they are still receiving treatment. Hospital staff describe their condition as serious but stable.
