Awards light shines on Broadway

HUSBAND and wife team Dennis and Linda Williams' Oxgangs newsagents has been shortlisted for a top national award.

Broadway Convenience Store in Oxgangs Broadway has been nominated for the National Federation of Retail Newsagents' Independent Community Retailer of the Year Award.

Organisers praised their customer service and community work as they organise an annual fireworks display and pantomime and sponsor a local youth football team.

Award winners will be announced on October 19.
