Award for IT tuition team

A PROJECT providing free one-to-one tuition in IT has achieved a Bronze Award in the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) Excellence Awards.

The award means that Midlothian's Live IT Sidekicks tuition scheme, which was honoured in the 'achieving better outcomes' category, has now been shortlisted for consideration in January for a Silver or Gold Award.

The IT tuition is provided at libraries across Midlothian by a team of 20 volunteer tutors, who have taught more than 250 learners since 2007.
