Award for civic centre

THE West Lothian Civic Centre was commended at the British Council for Offices' annual national awards.

The centre in Livingston received the National Innovation award this week in recognition of excellence in office space.

It was praised for its efforts to create a "one-stop shop" for citizens, combining West Lothian Council headquarters, the Scottish Courts Service administration and Lothian and Borders Police divisional headquarters on a campus-style site.
