Avalanche claims life of British skier

A BRITISH skier has died after being buried by an avalanche in the French Alps.

David Robinson and wife Chrissy, from Hampshire, were skiing in Val D'Isere when they were trapped. She was able to inflate a safety airbag so rescuers could locate her, but her husband was unable to do so.
