Author on site for book night

Author Robert Davidson will introduce Site Works, a book based on his experiences as a civil engineer, at Blackwell bookshop on South Bridge on Thursday.

Mr Davidson's novel tells the story of a group of men thrown together while working for several months on the Ness and Struie drainage project.

The story is billed as "compulsive reading for everyone who has ever walked on a footpath or taken water from a tap, essential reading for everyone in the industry."

The event, which begins at 6.30pm, is free but ticketed.
