Auchinleck man killed in car collision

A MALE pedestrian has been knocked down and killed in Ayrshire.

The 41-year-old was walking in Barony Road in Auchinleck, Ayrshire, last night when he was struck by a car.

The man, whose identity has yet to be released, died at the scene of the accident at around 9.10pm.

The driver of the Vauxhall Vectra, a 59-year-old man, was not hurt.

Police Scotland have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 101.
