Attack victim injures head

A WOMAN is being treated for a serious head injury in the ERI after being attacked and thrown to the ground during an assault in Midlothian.

The 38-year-old had just got off a bus with two friends in Loanhead at about 11:30pm on Saturday when the man knocked her to the ground in Muirfield Gardens, causing her to hit her head.

The suspect was with another man and woman and all three left the scene in a dark-coloured people carrier belonging to a private hire firm, police said.
