Assailants sought after house raid

A WOMAN was robbed in her home by three men who climbed through her kitchen window, police said.

One man rang the bell at her home in Weymouth Drive, Kelvindale, Glasgow, at around 3:55pm on Monday, then climbed through the window when there was no answer.

He threatened the 25-year-old woman, as did two others who followed him in.

The trio took her upstairs, asking for money, and went into the loft, taking two suitcases and a holdall containing Indian jewellery and saris.

They escaped, one out of the kitchen window and over the back wall into Ashburton Road, the others out the front door.

Detective Constable Elizabeth Blair said: “This was a frightening ordeal for this young woman and it’s imperative that we trace the men responsible.

“Given that it happened in broad daylight, we’re sure that somebody must have seen something which could assist us.”

The woman was not injured and did not need any medical attention. The suspects are thought to be between 18 and 25-years-old and Asian.
