Artists draw inspiration from poem

THE inspiration for this year's Mural Fest competition at Prestonpans' Cuthill Park will be a poem by local writer John Lindsay.

The competition will see seven finalists each painting a 4ft x 8ft mural based on the theme of the poem.

The Day the Park Smiled, by Prestoungrange Poet Laureate Mr Lindsay, invokes the celebrations that took place at Cuthill Park during the annual miner's galas of the past.
