Artists bid to see the world

YOUNG artists are being given the chance of a lifetime to travel around the world and display work at a solo exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy.

Applications are open for the Alastair Salvesen Art Scholarships, one of the largest scholarships in Scotland, worth 12,000.

Painters who have graduated from Edinburgh College of Art, or three other Scottish art colleges, can apply. It is aimed at artists aged between 25 and 35 who have been working in Scotland for at least three years.
