Arthur's Seat sitting pretty
Arthur's Seat is the only Scottish attraction in the new top ten compiled by travel website Tripadvisor.
It made number eight on the list, which was voted for by travellers, because the views of the Capital from the top of the extinct volcano leave visitors "speechless".

Hide AdThe Imperial War Museum in London topped the poll, followed by the National Gallery in London, and the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. In all, London had six of the top ten free attractions, which also featured the St Fagan's National History Museum in Cardiff.
A spokesman for the firm said their poll showed "you don't have to spend a fortune in the UK to have a good time".
