Art studios open doors

TWO Edinburgh artists' studios are taking part in an open day this weekend.

The Wasps Artists' Open Studios Weekend gives visitors the chance to visit hundreds of artists working in nine different studios around Scotland.

Albion Road Studios in Leith and West Park Place in Dalry will both be taking part this weekend. Artists at both locations will exhibit their work from 11am-5pm on Saturday and noon-5pm on Sunday.

Around 70 artists are based at West Park Place, a 1930s former Government building, which will have an exhibition of artists' work and a cafe set up in the basement/entrance area. Albion Road Studios, also known as the Citizens Studios, has around 30 artists working in the building, which is part of a larger business centre next to Easter Road stadium.
