Art project is off to a flyer

THE first of two massive decommissioned aircraft engines which will form a new sculpture outside the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art was being careful lowered into place this week.

Artist Roger Hiorns, wearing black, watched as engineers gently lowered the engine into place for the Landform: Modern One sculpture. The engines were sourced from the United States.
