Arrest after street death

A MAN has been arrested after another man died in a city street.

The 22-year-old was found in King Street, Glasgow at about 11pm on Saturday night.

Strathclyde Police said that a 27-year-old man has been detained in connection with the incident.

Police appealed for information from anyone who was in the area. Detective Inspector Kate Jamieson said: "Police were called to an incident at King Street, Glasgow about 11pm last night and it is vitally important that we are able to determine exactly what happened."

The officer added: "It is obvious that a number of people were in the area at the time and it is vital these people come forward and speak to police."
