Army bomb disposal called to Pitlochry holiday park

ARMY bomb disposal experts have been assessing a suspicious package found at a holiday complex.

Police discovered the object while attending a routine incident at Logierait Pine Lodges near Pitlochry at around 5pm yesterday.

A cordon was put in place around the area and nearby residents were evacuated.

The army bomb disposal team arrived at the scene at the complex of holiday lodges in Perthshire at around 9.15pm.

They were assessing the package and taking appropriate action, police said.

There were no reports of any injuries.
