Armed thieves hit bookies

POLICE are appealing for information after an armed robbery at a bookmakers.

Two men went into a branch of Ladbrokes in Possil, Glasgow, and threatened staff with what appeared to be firearm at around 7:50pm on Saturday. They made off with a four-figure sum of money.

Two female members of staff were very badly shaken.

The first suspect is described as white, 5ft 6in and of medium build. He was wearing a grey Nike tracksuit top with his hood up and a scarf around his face.

The second is described as white, 5ft 9in and of medium build. He was wearing a black zipped top, black hat and a black scarf around his face.

Police are appealing for any information.
