Armed gang accused of couple's abduction

A GANG of armed men have been accused of abducting a couple and subjecting them to a terrifying ordeal at the salvage yard they run in a rural village.

The gang are alleged to have attacked Gordon Barnes before binding his hands and feet and putting a bag over his head and dumping him in a river.

The trio are also alleged to have subjected Annabelle Hutchison to a violent attack during which she was also tied up and ordered to hand over money.

Isaac McPhee, 42, Thomas Blair, 46, and Brian Blair, 49, are alleged to have left the couple tied up at Dacrue Auto Salvage in Pitcairngreen, Perthshire, on 17 November while they fled in a stolen car.

McPhee, 30 Sauchie Place, Crieff, and Thomas Blair, of Wyndford Road, Glasgow, both appeared on a petition alleging a string of charges. They were remanded in custody. A warrant was issued for Brian Blair, of Fingal Street, Glasgow. .
