Arctic trial for lingerie boss Mone

MICHELLE Mone, the Scottish lingerie entrepreneur, has revealed she considered giving up her business empire in the wake of a gruelling Arctic trek.

The 38-year-old experienced hypothermia and suffered leg injuries while filming a new reality show in northern Norway.

Ms Mone, founder of the Ultimo lingerie brand, said the experience had made her question her life.

The mother-of-three revealed endurance series, '71 Degrees North', was "harder than anything I've ever done".

She said: "Our lives were risked with every challenge. I had scary moments but I got back and realised the company is not all it's cracked up to be and I could actually give it up in the future. It changed my whole outlook.

"I left school at 15 and it's just been work. I've never been a student or travelled except for business. This year I've had time for me."

Glasgow-born Ms Mone, one of 10 celebrities who took part in the ITV1 reality programme. The first episode will be shown this Saturday at 9pm.
