Archive save breaks mould

ARCHIVISTS have revived old records from a city hospital that were damaged by water.

The minutes of meetings from the 1950s at the Royal Edinburgh had "stuck together" and suffered from mould.

However, the Lothian Health Service Archives restored the documents and gathered them as part of a wider collection on the psychiatric hospital.

A spokeswoman said: "The papers will now be added to the catalogue of our extensive holdings that relate to the hospital."
