£200m Haymarket development hit by a series of delays
Interserve were initially scheduled to complete work on the first series of buildings in the Haymarket Development by the spring of this year, but construction work is not expected to start until at least next year.
The development, which will include three office blocks and a hotel, is on a site that has lain derelict for decades, but has been beset by problems strengthening railway tunnels running beneath the site.

Hide AdConstruction News first reported that contractor Interserve is backing the project despite issuing a profit warning earlier this month.
The developer, Edinburgh Haymarket Developments, revealed in accounts that Interserve had to pay off a £10m loan in 2017 to support the burgeoning development.
An Interserve spokesman told Construction News that it remained “absolutely committed to the project” and continued to make progress.
