Appeal for wild camper missing around Skye

Police have issued an appeal in a bid to trace a 65-year-old believed to be wild camping off the west coast of the Highlands.

Officers are keen for anyone who has had contact with Henry Richmond, from the London area, over the past three weeks.

He is described as 5ft 8in, of slim build, with reddish short hair which is greying and balding.

Mr Richmond speaks with a southern English accent and is believed to be wild camping around Gairloch and Skye.

He was last seen on July 16 wearing a blue jumper, beige shorts, brown leather sandals and was carrying a large green rucksack and guitar in a black case.

A Police Scotland spokesman said he was reported missing by a friend.

Mr Richmond is known to often hitch hike, so members of the public are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 if they have seen him since mid-July.
