Appeal for ‘vulnerable’ missing man in Dundee

POLICE Scotland have expressed their “significant concern” for a vulnerable man who has been reported missing in Dundee.

John Kenny, 52, was last seen on Monday night at the Ellen Mohr residential home in the city’s Ellen Street.

A force spokesman said: “Police Scotland officers in Dundee have significant concerns for the well-being of John Kenny. who was last seen at about 6.30pm on Monday. He is described as being 5ft 7ins tall, slim build with shaved greying hair and wears glasses.

“He has some stubble on his face. When last seen he was wearing a shirt and tie, dark coloured jumper, black trousers, black shoes and is likely to have a dark jacket. John has recently moved to Dundee and is not expected to know the area or anyone in the city. It is not thought he is in possession of any money.”

The spokesman added: “He is described as being an excellent communicator when speaking to people and has a strong Glaswegian accent. This might mask the fact he is vulnerable due to identified health issues.

“Police are extremely concerned for his safety and ask that if any member of the public has any information regards the whereabouts of John to contact Police Scotland on 101, or contact any officer.”
