The family of Michael Slaven from Dumbarton in West Dunbartonshire are said to be “absolutely distraught” by his disappearance.

He had been out with friends at Sugar Cube nightclub on Glasgow’s Queen Street and was last seen at St Enoch Square near the St Enoch subway station in the city centre at 2.30am on Friday August 30, police have said.

Mr Slaven is 6ft tall, has a slim build with a fair complexion, brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a grey square emblem on the front, olive green coloured ‘chino’ type trousers and dark coloured plimsolls.

Inspector Steve Grimason, said: “Michael has been missing for several days now, and concerns are growing for his well being.

“Understandably, Michael’s family are absolutely distraught and bewildered by his disappearance, and are very anxious to hear from him. It is very unusual for Michael to go missing, and it is very unusual for him not to be in touch with his family or friends for such a length of time.”

Police continue to carry out inquiries in the city centre and have asked that anyone with information about Mr Slaven to contact them by calling 101.

“It’s imperative we trace him, because as each day passes we are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety,” added Inspector Steve Grimason.
