Lothian and Borders Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

A police spokesman said: "Betty has not been seen or heard from since the 22nd, and we are worried for her safety and well-being.

"At this time we would appeal to Betty to get in touch and let her family or the police know she is safe and well.

"We would also appeal to anyone who knows where she is, or who has seen her since Saturday, May 22, to contact police immediately."

She is described as 5ft 2ins tall of heavy build, with fair hair and glasses.
