Appeal for help identifying body found off Skye

POLICE Scotland today appealed for the public’s help in their efforts to identify a tattooed man whose body was recovered from the sea off the Isle of Skye.

The body of the unidentified man was recovered on Monday at Kyleside, Kyleakin, in the Kyle of Lochalsh after police officers were alerted by a member of the pubic.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police have carried out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at this stage.

“Sadly, the man has not yet been identified so Police are appealing to anyone who knows of a man matching his description to contact them on 101.”

The man is described as being between 35 and 45 years of age, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, with short dark hair. He had tattoos on his left forearm consisting of a cross and the initial “G” close to his wrist. He was found wearing a blue Everlast hooded top, a blue body warmer, dark coloured jeans, a Levi leather belt, chrome Sekonda watch, a “Help for Heroes” wrist band, black Nike trainers and had a Reebok black and red backpack.
